There is a distinction that's really useful: a problem versus a predicament. * A problem is something that can be solved * A predicament is something that cannot be solved, only lived with virtuously Being able to discern between these two is, I believe, one of the most important life skills I can ever face. [[Gravity Problems]] are a kind of predicament. When I think of predicaments, I think of trade-offs. "Some among the great goods cannot live together... we are doomed to choose" (Isaiah Berlin).
